Australian photographer Tim Samuel managed to take a one-of-a-kind photo! In the middle of a diving session off The Pass, in Byron Bay, on the north coast of New South Wales, he came face to face with a fish stuck inside a jellyfish.
You do not believe in it ? So take the time to carefully observe the different shots in this article and you will see that this is indeed the case. The marvelous images reported by Tim Samuel have already gone around the world and it is not difficult to understand why, as this situation is unprecedented.
What’s even more unusual is that, according to the diver, the trapped fish was able to control the movements of the jellyfish, like some sort of highly original version of a living submarine.
Photos of the fish’s facial expression seem to show some surprise, even confusion. No doubt he wonders how he could end up getting inside the jellyfish.
Underwater photographer for more than five years in Australia , and former surf instructor, Tim Samuel says he has never seen anything like it in all his years in the water. In any case, this is the first time that such a snapshot has been made public and it proves that nature still has plenty to surprise us with!
Despite the fish’s worried face, Ian Tibbetts, an associate professor at the University of Queensland, told Australian Geographic: « In reality, it’s hard to tell if he’s having a hard time with this situation or if he’s finally happy to be there. »
Some breeds of fish seek shelter under jellyfish stingers, so maybe this little guy just slightly missed his mark. Anyway, the photos win hands down the palm of what you will see most strange today.
Impressive, isn’t it?
