Pursued by hunters, an exhausted deer takes refuge in a garden

Last weekend, the firefighters of Cuiseaux (Saône-et-Loire) rescued a deer who had taken refuge in a garden.

The morning of Saturday February 11 reserved a major surprise for a woman residing in Saône-et-Loire. As she looked out the window, the latter saw a deer in her garden, reports Le Journal Saône-et-Loire .

“ It was while looking out the window that I saw the deer lying in my garden . I found it surprising because I have a 1.25 meter high fence because I have two dogs , ”explains the owner of the premises to the regional daily.

The deer would have found refuge with the woman after escaping from a hunting party . Unsurprisingly, the woman hastened to alert the emergency services.

Cuiseaux firefighters dispatched to the scene managed to approach the animal because it was exhausted. Once this step was completed, » they put a sheet over his eyes so that he did not panic «, explains the owner to the news site.

It is in this context that the ruminant was released “ a little further into the forest ”. And the least we can say is that the young fawn was delighted to find its natural habitat. When he was released, the latter began to frolic before moving away into the wild.

Several months ago, a similar story happened in a village in Sablé-sur-Sarthe. A deer, which had escaped a group of hunters, had tried to take refuge in the gardens of the inhabitants.
