A widower recreates maternity photos with his daughter to pay tribute to his late wife

Since the tragic death of his wife, James Alvarez has been raising his little girl. Last August, the father of the family paid tribute to his late wife in the most beautiful way.

On August 11, 2020, James Alvarez tragically lost his wife in a car accident. When she was 35 weeks pregnant, Yasenia was hit by a vehicle in Anaheim, a city located in California. The driver was intoxicated at the time of the accident.

At the hospital, the doctors did everything possible to resuscitate the young woman, but it was too late. Miraculously, they managed to save the couple’s baby by performing an emergency caesarean section. It is in this context that little Adalyn was born.

«I believe my daughter is the true definition of a miracle ,» James Alvarez said in an interview with Good Morning America.

Bereaved by the loss of his wife, the father of the family tried to overcome his grief for his daughter and to keep the memory of his beloved alive.

As Adalyn’s first birthday approached, James decided to honor his late wife by recreating a maternity photo shoot .

To do this, he called on the same photographer who had taken the photos during the first shoot a month before the premature birth of the infant. This vibrant tribute also took place at the same location. On D-Day, the little girl wore a beautiful pink dress like her mother.

James, who had not been to the park since his partner’s death, said the memorial photoshoot was very moving. The latter shared the magnificent shots on his Instagram account followed by 107,000 subscribers:

“Adalyn, I know if your mom was here she would have been the happiest person in the world. She would be so excited to celebrate your birthday. That’s why, I make sure to make his wishes come true and wish you the happiest of birthdays. Your mom and dad love you ,” he captioned the post.

In order for his daughter to have memories of her mother, James kept many of his wife’s personal belongings like clothes and makeup items.

“When my daughter is old enough to understand, I will be able to show her all these beautiful objects, these souvenirs, so that she can have an idea of who her mother was,” he told the news site.
