He accompanies a patient to their room, but what the camera records fills the entire internet with joy.

People who love to spread joy are my favorites. These individuals strive to fight and care for others more than they do for themselves.

Lindon Beckford is one of those people. Undoubtedly, he is a man with a heart of gold – and possesses an angelic voice.

Here is his story that has already touched more than three million people.

Lindon Beckford works at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center in Boston, United States. His job is relatively simple: he escorts patients to and from the operating rooms – and he’s been doing this for over 30 years.

An Important Job

However simple his job may seem, Lindon puts his heart and soul into it in a very special way. Every day, on every occasion, and with every patient, he strives to make this journey as soothing and as least frightening as possible.

Lindon knows every patient he cares for. He understands that the journey they make to the operating room can be the scariest journey they will have to undertake. Over the years, Lindon has seen almost everything, including the fear in the eyes of those waiting for surgery.

An Angelic Voice

But it’s precisely this fear that Lindon soothes with his warm, welcoming smile. Every time he encounters a new patient, he starts with the wonderful phrase, “My name is Lindon, and I will be your driver.”

However, it’s what he does next that calms patients one after the other.

No one would have expected Lindon to have an angelic voice. He loves to sing and does so while working. What he didn’t initially realize was how comforting his voice was for the patients.

One thing for sure is that Lindon has an absolutely amazing voice, and patients always want to hear it again and again. It soothes them and brings them joy when they need it most.
