In March 2021, a couple from Vierzon made four journeys to adopt a puppy from an animal shelter in Brittany. On the way back, the two Vierzonnais turned around to adopt his blind little brother.
Mélody and Pierre, a couple from Vierzon (Cher), are the happy owners of Pixel, a dog they were able to adopt thanks to the Breton association «Moustaches et Compagnies».
The two Vierzonnais wanted to offer him a playmate. Unsurprisingly, they called on the association to help them find the fur ball.
The couple have set their sights on Ringo, a three-month-old husky-shepherd mix puppy. Little Ringo is a miracle. From a litter of eight babies, he was found abandoned in a trash can in Côtes-d’Armor.
While waiting to find him a stable home, the puppy has been placed with Léa, a volunteer from the association who lives in Morbihan. Sunday February 28, Mélody and Pierre went to her house to pick up the little husky.
There, they learned of the existence of Ramzo, Ringo’s blind little brother. The dog has an inoperable congenital cataract according to the veterinarian.
The couple decide to adopt the blind dog
It is with heavy hearts that the couple set off on the way back with their puppy to Vierzon. On the road, the animal lovers decided to turn around to adopt the little brother. They didn’t want to separate the siblings.
“We almost felt guilty. After 80 kilometers, we parked the car on the roadside and tried to reach the president. The foster family was very worried, they thought we wanted to bring Ringo back. But we told him we wanted to adopt Razmo too. We turned around and went to get Razmo,” Melody said.
This news filled the staff of “Moustaches et Compagnies” with joy. Indeed, the adoption of a blind dog is very rare.
Fortunately, the cohabitation between Pixel, Ringo and Ramzo is going wonderfully. The canines get along very well and enjoy the large garden of their owners to have fun.
“It’s going very well, Razmo quickly found its marks at home. He never stays far from his brother and Pixel, who adopted them right away. We are very happy but this time we are complete! “ said the young Vierzonnaise.
