Dumped by her fiancé who finds her too fat, she loses 50 kilos and wins the Miss Great Britain contest

Head to England to meet the new Miss Great Britain, who has a very special story. Narrative.

This is the great story of the day! A nice revenge for Jen Atkin, a 26-year-old English girl victim of fatphobia and not from just anyone, since the derogatory remarks about her weight came from her fiancé.

Or rather of her ex-fiancé because the latter decided to leave her, finding her too fat.

A break that sounded like a click for Jen, who decided to take charge to prove that she could lose weight.

“I am living proof that you can achieve anything you want to achieve if you put your mind to it”

It must be said that the young woman, originally from Ulceby (Lincolnshire) was considered obese, from a medical point of view. The situation therefore became worrying.

So Jen decided to go on a diet and, after two years of trying, managed to lose over 50 kilos, or about half her body weight.

She went from 108 to 57 kilograms, sporting an unrecognizable slim figure.

Literally transformed, she gained a lot of self-confidence and decided to enter a local beauty pageant. Good for her since she won the title of Miss Scunthorpe in 2017.

From then on, everything fell into place! Qualified for the Miss England 2019 competition, during which she took the place of first runner-up, Jen then participated in the Miss Great Britain 2020 competition which she won hands down.

“ I am living proof that you can achieve anything you want to achieve if you put your mind to it ,” she told the Daily Mail, still in disbelief.

A great example of perseverance!
