Here is a story like few exist! Indeed, these are twins who married twins and the latter gave birth to little boys. If in fact, the two young children are cousins, they are genetically considered brothers.

It all started when twins Briana and Brittany, 35, married twins Josh and Jeremy Salyers, 37. It was enough for these particularly rare unions to seal the start of an incredible adventure.
«You’ve heard the term ‘Irish twins’, ‘identical twins’ and ‘fraternal twins’, well we have quaternary twins,» Briana Salyers told TODAY Parents. And for good reason, that’s what the children of parents who are themselves twins are called.

The Salyers are parents to Jett, who turned 1 in January, and Jax, who turns 1 in April, and the cousins share more than the same initial. Their unique situation makes them genetic brothers. “They were born to identical twin parents less than nine months apart. Twins married to twins who both have babies at the same time,” says Brittany Salyers. Since identical twins share the same DNA, the children of two sets of identical twins are legally cousins, but genetically more similar to siblings.

The sisters let it be known that they discussed the possibility of quaternary twins together and that just considering the possibility made them really feel like it. “We were hoping that our pregnancies would overlap for this to happen. We thought that would be really cool. There are only 300 known quaternary marriages in the history of the world,” Briana said.
The two couples, who share a common Instagram page, posted a photo of the young boys side by side, along with the caption: » Jett and Jax: cousins, genetic brothers and quaternary twins» once again creating the event on the famous social network.

The couples tied the knot in a joint ceremony at the 2018 Twins Days festival in Twinsburg, Ohio. Brittany and Briana met Joshua and Jeremy at the Twins Days Festival the year before and their fairytale weddings were captured on camera for TLC.
The two families live under the same roof in Virginia and run a wedding site together. “It was something the four of us wanted as soon as we got engaged, we all wanted it that way. It is something that is very pleasant. Josh and Jeremy understand the bond between twins like us. We spend a lot of time together,” Brittany said of this unconventional lifestyle.

Obviously, like any family or individuals who do not exactly fit the norm, the Salyers have had to face a lot of criticism on the web and especially when they choose to highlight their very fulfilling daily life on social networks.
Luckily, they’re mostly focused on keeping the best: “We try to ignore the bully’s comments and focus on the positive. Some people think we’re really weird and some people think it’s really amazing. We have received a lot of support and interest and we are grateful for that,” said Brittany.

Fascinating, isn’t it?
