If there’s anything truly breathtaking in this world, then it’s the miracle of childbirth.
And we are not talking about human beings, but about all beings.
In this particular situation, it is the birth process of a tiger that fascinates us.
Australia Zoo staff capture a very rare yet moving image of a Sumatran tiger in labor.
Unfortunately, things didn’t go as planned for Kaitlyn, a female tiger, as her baby twins seem to become unresponsive after birth.
But luckily, to the astonishment of the keepers, the tiger’s maternal instincts soon kicked in and the tiny creatures began to breathe again.
The whole process has been carefully monitored because the Sumatran tiger is one of the most endangered species on Earth.
It is estimated that there are less than 600 Sumatran tigers left in the world.
So, when a Sumatran female is ready to give birth, it is necessary to be supervised by zoo staff.
In the event of a problem, the team is ready to intervene at any time to save the babies or the mother’s life.
In this case, monitoring the birthing process was all the more necessary as Kaitlyn was about to become a mother for the first time.
Surprisingly to everyone present, she acts like she has a lot of experience.
She helped her babies stimulate their lungs and made them breathe on their own.
Now we all can’t wait to see the little creatures grow up!
