These spectacular shots of a crocodile eating a bull shark were captured on camera in north Queensland, Australia. 46-year-old researcher and photographer Mark Zembicki captured this rare moment during a recent visit to the east coast of Australia.
According to Zembicki, due to excessive precipitation in the Saint Lucia River, a strong current carried freshwater species into coastal salty waters, which led to an unlikely meeting of the two main predators.
Nile crocodiles are freshwater reptiles that are rarely found in salt water. However, heavy rains carried them along the river into salty waters inhabited by blunt-nosed sharks.
However, the shark had no chance to survive because the Nile crocodile has the most powerful jaws, which are about eight times more powerful than the great white shark.
